My name is Randy Veazey and I'm the founder of VZ Web Design. Even though I'm actually a band director by trade, I've been involved with computers for over 20 years since buying my first home computer in Dec. of 1983. I've always tried to incorporate the computer into my classroom. Through the years I've taught teacher inservices on using computers in the classroom, assisted teachers with computer problems and have helped enumerable people set up basic web pages.

I started my first web page in the fall of 2001. For the first several months I used MS Word. I was able to learn the basics using Word but quickly discovered I was limited in what I could achieve using it. After some research, I decided Macromedia Suite was the best software available for web design. I now use Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash from that suite to design most pages. I hope to learn Cold Fusion soon which will give me even more options in web design. I use Sibelius to create my music web sites.

I'm basically self-taught with the above mentioned programs. I have had some training in the three programs recently. Most importantly was a week long intensive training session with Jack Nelson. Through his tutelage I've developed my philosophy on web design and learned many of the techniques needed to create this type of page. Thanks Jack for the encouragement, as well as training, that helped me set up this business.
